Jung Hoo Lee hit two homers and drove in four runs as the visiting San Francisco Giants came back to earn a 5-4 victory over the New York Yankees on Sunday afternoon.
Lee continued his hot start and helped the Giants win a series in New York against the Yankees for the first time in team history by getting his first career multi-homer game and hitting three homers in the series.
The Giants continued their hot start by improving to 11-4 and won for the 10th time in 13 games.
After San Francisco's Logan Webb allowed three early runs, Lee hammered a full-count slider from New York starter Carlos Rodon into the right-center field seats with one out in the fourth to cut the deficit to 3-1.
Following an infield hit by rookie Christian Koss and a one-out walk to Adames in the sixth, Lee lifted a 2-2 curveball into the right-center field seats to give the Giants a 4-3 lead.
The Giants added another run in the seventh when Casey Schmitt scored on a fielding error by first baseman Paul Goldschmidt.
Webb settled down after the rocky beginning and allowed three runs on five hits in five innings. The right-hander struck out five and walked four and has allowed five homers this season.
Goldschmidt hit an RBI single with two outs in the first off Webb after Aaron Judge hit a booming double to center field.
J.C Escarra had an RBI double and Ben Rice added a run-scoring single in the second as the Yankees took a 3-0 lead.
Jazz Chisholm Jr homered in the eighth to get New York within 5-4 after being hitless in his previous 24 at-bats.
Rodon allowed four runs on three hits in 5 2/3 innings. The left-hander struck out eight and walked three.
Hayden Birdsong followed Webb and pitched two innings. Tyler Rogers ended the eighth with three groundouts after Chisholm homered and Ryan Walker fanned Judge in a 1-2-3 ninth for his fourth save.
