New Delhi [India], April 3 (ANI): Sunrisers Hyderabad all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has expressed his happiness with his growth and performances in the Indian team and his Indian Premier League franchise. Reddy felt happy with his progress in both his national and IPL performances, aiming to maintain his consistency and passion for the game.
While speaking on Jio Hotstar, he acknowledged the increased recognition and praise but emphasized his focus on staying grounded and continuing to play with the same dedication.
'I am very happy with the progress I've made, both in my performances for my country and my IPL franchise. I want to continue delivering at the same level. There has been a significant change--people have started recognizing me and praising my performances. However, I don't want to let this get to my head. Moving forward, I want to play with the same passion and consistency, whether it's for my franchise or India. My focus remains on keeping my love for cricket alive.' Nitish Reddy to JioHotstar.
Reddy praised Pat Cummins as a calm and composed leader who handles pressure remarkably well. He believed that Cummins's leadership inspires confidence in the entire team.
'He is an extremely calm and composed leader. The way he handles pressure is remarkable. When you see your captain managing things so smoothly, it instils confidence in the entire group,' he added.
Nitish gained fame after excelling for the dynamic Sunrisers in the previous season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). However, he genuinely hit the limelight before a packed audience at the legendary Melbourne cricket ground (MCG) with a powerful century against India during the Boxing Day Test at the conclusion of last year.
As Nitish's value continues to rise to unprecedented levels, he aims to make a mark with his aggressive batting performance in the current season of the lucrative league. (ANI)
