Kevin Fiala had a goal and an assist, Alex Laferriere, Trevor Lewis and Mikey Anderson also scored, Joel Edmundson and Phillip Danault each had two assists, and Darcy Kuemper made 25 saves for the Kings, who improved to a league-best 18-3-2 at home.
Barrett Hayton had the first hat trick in Utah club history, Nick Schmaltz had two assists and Connor Ingram made 21 saves. Utah had won three of four heading into the two-week break for the 4 Nations Face-Off.

Doughty, who helped Canada to victory in the 4 Nations championship game on Thursday, scored his first goal of the season 28 seconds later on a one-timer from above the circles to tie it 1-1.
Hayton scored again at 5:50 of the second period to move Utah back ahead 2-1.
Kuemper made a left pad save on a one-timer by Schmaltz from the slot, but the rebound came out diagonally to Hayton, who had a wide-open side of the net.
Los Angeles was on its first power play when Fiala scored on a one-timer from the right circle to tie it 2-2 at 7:59 of the second.
Laferriere gave the Kings their first lead when he got behind the defense for a breakaway and scored with a backhand to make it 3-2 at 16:10 of the second.
Lewis backhanded a rebound past Ingram to stretch the lead to 4-2 at 9:41 of the third.
Hayton completed his first NHL hat trick when he swept a rebound into the net to cut the lead to 4-3 at the 11-minute mark.
Anderson sealed the win with an empty-netter that made it 5-3 with 1:30 left.
