For a second straight week, Major League Baseball and the players association on Friday reported two positive COVID-19 tests, neither of which came from a player at the major-league level.
The results cover 13,279 tests conducted during the week ending Thursday. The positive test rate was 0.02 percent.
Among players tested at major-league sites, there have been no new positive results for 26 straight days and in 34 of the past 35 days.
MLB has conducted 140,997 tests with a 0.06 percent positivity rate. Among the 90 people testing positive, 57 have been players and 33 have been staff members.
In all, 21 different clubs have had at least one person with a positive test.
