Kevin Anderson and wife welcome baby daughter

Cape Town - South African tennis star Kevin Anderson and his wife Kelsey have welcomed a baby daughter.

Anderson announced on social media on Wednesday that Keira O'Neal Anderson was born on September 27.

It's been an injury-plagued season for Anderson, who recently announced that he will not play any more tennis in 2019.

He has suffered from shoulder and knee injuries and since winning the Maharashtra Open in Pune in January, has only featured in four events.

The 33-year-old, who was a runner up at the 2017 US Open and 2018 Wimbledon events, is currently ranked No 18 on the ATP Tour singles rankings.
